Meet the Participants
Evan Parker is one of many members of his extended family that live with type 1 diabetes. His wife Andrea and son Alexander have been participating in the ENDIA study since before Alexander was born. They are contributing to finding the triggers of type 1 diabetes in hope that one day this disease might be prevented.
Holly and Iain
Iain was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when he was 6 years old. When Holly and Iain decided to start a family they were keen to contribute to research into Type 1 Diabetes that may help their children in the future.
Cadence was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes when she was 18 years old. She came across the ENDIA study in her role as a Senior Research Grants Officer at the University of Adelaide. Cadence was determined to continue contributing to research throughout her pregnancy and her child’s early life – and participation in ENDIA provided the perfect opportunity!
